Religious Symbols and Freedom of Religion in Education according to European Convention on Human Rights: Analysis of European Court of Human Rights cases.
Religious freedom has been one of the most important matters tackled in the European legal order, especially in the last few years. One of the most important facets of religious freedom is the influence of religious symbols at the religious neutrality of a state. Even more importantly, the presence of religious symbols in the context of educational, institutions has more significant impact since it is associated with the socializing process. ECoHR jurisprudence is crucial for understanding religious symbols in the European legal context and has considerable consequences on education policy in the member states.
